What is it about Mushrooms (+Klas Fahlen: lalaLove)

I was browsing the Art Department website and found this ahhhhmazing illustrator, Klas Fahlen...I love this series of illustrations and I think I know why...they totally remind me of some Finel bowls my Aunt Mene has. Recently,  I've been trolling ebay searching for some of my own...they're a little pricey...so, Aunt Mene, if your bowls go missing, you know where to look.

The Pink Adobe & The Shed

Chris, Sylvie and I spent the weekend in Santa Fe. I was born in Santa Fe and lived there until I was eight (my mom's side of the family traces their ancestry back 12+ generations). However, I've never done the touristy thing...you know, take pictures, do the tours, etc. So this weekend we decided to go tourist...and we had so much fun. These are two of my favorite spots in Santa Fe: The Pink Adobe (actually, their bar, The Dragon Room) and The Shed (plus, their signage is sooo great). I never realized how alike my handwriting is to the type used for The Pink Adobe's sign...strange. All in all, an excellent weekend.
